About Me
My name is Shana Hall, and I am a mixed media artist with a foundation in painting, bringing a versatile and deeply experimental approach to my creative practice. My work integrates a wide range of materials—paints, pastels, inks, charcoals, modelling pastes, metallic leaf, and three-dimensional elements—often applied with unconventional tools like bubble wrap and palette knives
Beyond painting, my practice spans photography (photograms and lumen prints), printmaking and collage. I focus on themes surrounding Birth, Death and the Afterlife as motifs within my work, constantly recalling the possibility of spiritual existence.
Through both my art and studio practice, I aim to push the boundaries of traditional media, exploring themes of mortality, physical limitation, and the ephemeral nature of human existence.
